Welcome to Cornerstone Web Company. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website design, hosting, and related services. By using our services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. Services Provided

Cornerstone Web Company provides:

• Custom website design (5-page base structure)
• Additional page design ($100 per page, one-time fee)
• Secure website hosting
• Ongoing maintenance and technical support
• SSL certificate installation and renewal
• Mobile-responsive website design
• Domain connection assistance
• Reputation management services (if selected)

All websites are built within our proprietary managed website system and are not WordPress or publicly downloadable platforms.
 

2. Pricing & Subscription Structure

 

Website Setup & Care Plan

• One-time setup fee (as agreed at signup)
• $49 per month Website Care Plan
• No long-term contract
• Cancel anytime with 30 days notice

The monthly fee includes hosting, maintenance, security updates, backups, SSL certificate, and support.

Reputation Management services (if selected) are billed separately at the listed monthly rate.

Prices may be updated with 30 days written notice.

 

3. Payment Terms

 

• Setup fees and first monthly payment are due at signup before work begins.
• Monthly subscriptions are billed automatically on the same date each month.
• Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• We do not store full credit card details.

Failed Payment Policy

If a payment fails:

• We will retry the charge automatically.
• You will be notified to update your payment method.
• Continued failure to resolve payment may result in suspension of services.

If an account remains unpaid for more than 14 days, the website may be removed from active hosting.

If a website is deleted due to non-payment:

• All website files and configuration will be permanently removed.
• Restoration is not guaranteed.
• A new setup fee will apply if service resumes.

4. Project Timeline

 

• Initial preview typically delivered within 48 hours after receiving required information.
• Most websites go live within approximately one week.
• Timelines depend on client responsiveness and content submission.
• Delays caused by missing content or feedback are not our responsibility.

5. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate business information.
• Submit content, images, and logos in a timely manner.
• Ensure you have legal rights to all submitted materials.
• Maintain valid payment information.
• Use your website for lawful purposes only.

We are not responsible for verifying legality or compliance of client-provided content.
 

6. Intellectual Property

 

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content, images, and materials you provide.

Website Platform

Your website is built and maintained within our proprietary managed platform.

You:

• Own your domain name.
• Own your business content.

You do not:

• Own or receive transferable rights to the underlying website system, code framework, or hosting structure.

Websites are not transferable to another hosting provider.

We reserve the right to display completed websites in our portfolio unless requested otherwise.

7. Updates & Modifications

The monthly plan includes:

• Hosting
• Security updates
• Technical maintenance
• Minor content updates (text edits, image swaps)

Major changes such as:

• New page creation ($100 per page)
• Structural redesign
• Advanced features
• Ecommerce expansions

May require additional fees.

8. Cancellation

You may cancel anytime with 30 days notice.

Upon cancellation:

• Website will remain active through the end of the billing cycle.
• Website will be taken offline afterward.
• Domain remains yours.
• Website files and system are not transferable.

Reactivation after deletion requires a new setup fee.

9. Website Availability

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

We are not responsible for:

• Third-party outages
• Internet provider issues
• Force majeure events
• Payment processor downtime

 

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
• Total liability is limited to the amount paid in the previous 3 months.
• You use our services at your own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Cornerstone Web Company harmless from claims arising from:

• Content you provide
• Illegal use of services
• Violation of third-party rights

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

Any disputes shall first be resolved through good faith negotiation before legal action.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
